i was trying to hint on my source of information for ethanol problem.as long as i don`t mention names no harm done.most people are aware of a facillity located on long island n.y called brookhaven lab.this is the place of the most intelligent sciencetist in the world.these are the guys who recreated the big bang in a 4mile circle 40' under ground.the creation of earth cost about 300million dollars for 1/10 of a second.guarded by the fbi with nobel prize winners on staff.what if one of these "beautiful minds"had a gas mercruiser blow up due to corn in the gas.took the residue back to the lab and analize it -----no this is not going to be publish!!!!!!-------that being said lets go on ;as bruce stated strene is a liquid and will past thru any filter.i feel we have two options 1st fund capt. patrict as he cuts a hole in the top of a old gas bertram tank and see if he can someway develop a procedure to coat with vinylester/2nd contact nauta corp or another bladder tank manufacturer to make one that we could install by cutting out a square in the top of the tank thus maintaining the intergrity of the tank and install.in my opinion avoiding the removal of tank we cut alot of time and money better spent on the actual inside of tank.removal of tank and installing a alluminum timebomb is not a option and stainless 316 leaves me the though of seing countless towers from yesteryear with cracks on the welds no big deal but with gas in the bilge it would put the fear of god in me everytime i turn the switch.
