Ethanol--Here to Stay

Spoke with a few people at the EPA the last 2 days. The last person I spoke with mentioned that even after the Federal decision on Feb 14, it seems that the credits and incentives doled out by the govt, will keep the ethanol in our gas. Even states that don't presently have ethanol can count on it being present sometime in the near future.

Even after mentioning the various problems associated with ethanol, he told me it was not an EPA concern and that I/we should direct our concerns to the FTC (Federal Trade Commission) or our local legislators, up to and including the States' Attorney Generals. Personally, the only way I see anything happening is getting out the word and getting every single affected boater (no matter where they are located) involved in making our concerns heard or forming some type of class action lawsuit.
