More ethanol gas problems.. Please all read

This may be old news to some of you, but I have not seen it mentioned here in the three or so months I have been coming here so I thought I should post this.
This week I learned of another gas problem, this time not related to fiberglas tanks, but when mixing gas containing MBTE (the old additive) with gas containing ethanol. This info came from the Oct 2005 issue of "Seaworthy", the BoatUS Marine Insurance and Damage Avoidance Report magazine. I picked this issue up (I don't insure with BoatsUS) at a local boat show a week or so ago.
It seems that if the two gas mixtures are mixed together (by the distributor, gas station, or boat owner), in the presence of water (who has zero water in their fuel tanks?) they can form a sludge that can clog fuel filters and the small passages in carburetors. This has been the cause of several engine failures in the New York, Long Island Sound and New Jersey areas.
I appologize if I am late with this, but it seemed so important I thought I should take the chance and post even if it has been posted before.
