From what I have found so far, it doesn't appear that aluminum tanks are the answer either unless they are internally coated with something to prevent the ethanol from etching the tanks. It seems that a lot of people on Long Island with outboard motors are having the same types of problems with an orange sludge coming from aluminum tanks. Also 2 stroke outboards are having more problems than 4 strokes. At the website below it says that for the storage of E85 gasoline that Stainless, or cold steel, or approved fiberglass tanks are the preffered way to go. I would assume that if E10 is giving us problems that this avenue would also be best for us.
