I have a B-31 and a B-20. The B-31 (thank God) I converted to diesel AND put in a Teak deck. My B-20 is gas, and the Ethanol problem explains one trouble free season and two seasons of troublesome performance, in which I kept thinking I fixed it. Two carbs later it became clear to me that I was hit by the Ethanol problem. My access to my fuel tank on my B-20 BAHIA MAR is easy, but to be very honest, I am wrestling with either converting to a Volvo D-3 diesel or selling it. I can't deal with the insecurity of geting stuck in single engined boat by myself (what I bought it for). Despite this new legislation, I find it hard to believe the liberal tree hugging mentality of a state like New York would even allow the removal of Ethanol from their fuel. The same goes for California. Combine that with the President's promise for a greater use of Ethanol, I think any expectation of it going away is not long term. I hope I'm wrong.
