ethanol & fiberglass fuel tanks

I'm trying to ge any info on problems that anyone may be having with gas engines and the fiberglass tanks.
Has anyone had bent push rods,intake valves haning up, laquer or sluge buildup in the intake manifold and on the underside of carberators.
I have recieved info that the ethanol reacting with the glass tanks on the older boats, I have great running big block chryslers [440] that suddenly developed the described problems all of a sudden Boat US had an article in the dec or jan issue describing this and the culprit being the new ethanol fuel and fiberglass tanks, Is ther a solution to this other than replacing tanks or switching to diesel, two expensive fixes
I must admit I am operating a '67 34 hatt but have heard the bertrams are experiencing the same problems. lets unite
