Harv-My experience as well as Randall's is that the filters look perfect. It's the underside of the carbs that look shiny black. The real danger seems to occur when the engine cools and seems to glue the valves that are closed. The fuel now has a shelf life that it didn't have before which does not bode well for winterizing with a full tank as we have always thought was a good thing to do. I still haven't resolved what to do on my 20. Walter
