I have those huge 2 stage Fram filters that filter down to 1 Micron and remove tar and varnish. Not much help, as said I believe the crude is in solution.

Someone mentioned they had a tank removed and would cut out a piece. If that is not possible I will cut a section out of mine, but it is in boat with fuel.
