I have not received a piece of fuel tank yet. If I could get a coupples of peices a few square inches is good we can put this thing to bed. Racor makes all the way down to 2 micron that I know of. I have used them to clean up my diesel fuel. The final Cat filters on the motors are 2 micron; but now I use 30 micron on the primaries. I don't think either 10 or 2 micron for that matter will help this problem. This stuff is in solution and therefore very hard to filter. While all the gas tanks at the gas stations have been changed out in recent years the big depot storage tanks have not. I still think we are seeing a problem of 30 plus years of varnish being dissolved from the tanks either in your boat or at the storage yard. Gasohol has been around for a long time, in the midwest and I have never seen any confirmed reports it was eating fibergless tanks. I am talking since the 70's after the arab oil embargo.
Somebody send me some fuel tank cuttings.
