Ethanol

If anyone is interested, page 50 of Boating magazine talks about the ethanol problems. Seems Yamaha was having trouble with an engine up on Long Island. It kept gumming up and running lousy. They tested the gas and said there was all kinds of stuff that shouldn't be in it.inlcuding traces of copper and other material. They suspect the problem is in the delivery trucks and that the ethanol is cleaning out the trucks and they expect that it will eventually work itself out.as the ethanol cleans everything it touches. So it may not be the glass tanks. Yamaha is also going to a 10 Micron filter in hopes this solves the problem. Tony Meola
