Aluminum fuel tanks

Biggest drawback is the lifespan. I have a friend who makes them and he says 7-10 years, even if you coat the outside of them and try to make them impervious to corrosion. My suggestion would be to make sure if you change to aluminum, you leave yourself access to get in and eventually change the tank.
