For my 175 gal. tank that was 1/2 full, it was $360. They wanted to go through the fill, however I made them take both the fill and pickup plates off the top of the tank. Once those are off, a tube is inserted to the low point in the tank in order to suck out any water. I had about a quart of water pumped before they started to draw gas. Round #2 is a tube to suck any setiment left at the bottom of the tank. Round #3 is a tube that is inserted and used agitate anything leftover or stuck inside. Finally, all of the remaining fuel is run through a filter. I inspected the filter when they were finished and was amazed at some of the fine particles that were removed.
I used a firm called PetroSrub. I was told by several sources that they are a little more expensive but are the most thorough.
This season I found an abnormal amount of water in my filter/separators. I just had an engine rebuilt and needed to make sure that my tank and fuel were good to go.
