Ethanol - New Thread

I can't keep doing that thread.
Has anyone actually got to the point where they have the engines back to Pre-Ethanol problems and no further additives and fogging needed with the fiberglass tanks.
I was all set to pull the boat and tank but I look at the fuel and it looks fine, actually looked good all year. I thought I was just removing remnents of last years mess from the valve train. Thought I had the problem licked.
If the crud is from the actual tank itself, wouldn't the fuel still be tainted?
Has anyone actually had a fiberglass tank fail or know someone who has had one fail recently?
Maybe just go Alum and get a new one every few years, only 1500.00.
Boats, gotta love'em. Really glad I put down the new deck last year and fiberglassed the framing.
