Thanks,
Misery does like company, cause hearing your syptoms makes me feel a tad bit better, especially since you seem to be running again. I'll keep fingers crossed for you.I did the carb cleaner thing, but found Power Foam to be a bit better, as it foams up when sprayed into carb and seemed to do a better job, less hangups on start up. I did and do spray valves stems when I have to change rods. Since I redid heads the valves only hangup for a split second. No longer do I have to tap them back as I did before.
Not sure if your tried, but I sprayed a few carb cleaners and PowerFoam, gas, Marvels Mystery Oil alcohol, and other assorted cleaners on my old cruded valves and the bottom of carbs to see what if any cleaned or disolved the crude best. I found one carb cleaner best Silver can Black writing, followed by the Powerfoam. However spraying into Carb the Foam seeemed to produce less hangups. What brand of Carb cleaner did you use, I'll give a try.
Now the techtron, didn't try that. I will look into it. Is it an addative, available where?
Thanks for the input, something else to try if problem persists.
