Attached are comments from another forum regarding ethanol. I don't know how true it is but found it interesting.
According to Star brite, there have been numerous reports that newer alcohol (ethanol)-enhanced gasoline can gel as temperatures fluctuate, leading to clogged filters and other fuel-delivery system problems. The problem is only surfacing now because as we head into the fall, the swing between day and evening temperatures is increasing and so are the problems. "Additionally," according to the company's spokesperson Jeff Tieger, "if boats are stored using this fuel it will be a nightmare come next Spring."

The problem seems to be worse with engines that have very fine fuel filters, like boats. Boaters have described the clogged filters as looking as if they are coated with gelatin. When the filters clog it is difficult for the engine to accelerate quickly and maximum RPMs are impossible to reach. In extreme cases the engine stops running and will not restart.Star brite Star tron is a revolutionary new type of fuel treatment based on enzyme technology. This product will prevent gelling of alcohol (ethanol)-modified gas and can even reverse the gelling process once it occurs. For more information on Star tron, go to www.starbrite.com.
