Harv, sorry my post wasn't more clear, I have 18x18 three blade brass with a light cup. I also have 340 H.P. engines, ford 460's that were chrysler marinized. I cruise @ 2800, just as the secondarys come in (quadrajets) which is 27 mph, maybe 26 loaded. An arguement could be made that I'm overproped as I just make the min. max rpm @ 4200 (4200-4800) recomened, but since the power has been in the boat over ten years and has over 1400 hrs. it can't be to bad. The top end numbers are even higher empty, I have seen 39 mph on the gps before, but who runs empty. I have flow scans and have verified the numbers at the pump so I'm pretty confident their close. I can leave the house (South Tampa Bay) cruise non stop to the seven mile bridge (Marathon), about 225 miles before I need to pump in the spare fuel I carry on board for the trip, I may be able to go farther, but can't afford to run out in that current. I have a 250 gallon tank with about 230 usable. I have made the trip 3 times and am going this Friday again. The one thing I will say is the clean bottom because of the boat lift has done more for the fuel economy and speed than anything else I have done. If you ever in the area, come on by and we'll take for a cruise.
