Carl, you are correct and it is becoming a bigger problem because the Ethanol used to be a wintertime additive and is now 10% of your fuel 12 months of the year. I did the same thing as you did and after 2 carb jobs ran my B-20 from Outboard gas cans and it ran great. The Marina owner has a 31 Bahia Mar with gas, and has redone his valves, heads and carbs twice and is at his witts end. In the spring, I'm going to have my tanks sucked out and hopefully cleaned out at Montauk, and a Racor filter put in to replace the simpler one I presently have. Given the dissolving power of Ethanol on older tanks interior residue, the concept of topping off our tanks for the winter has to be re-evaluated. We'd be better off dry. Walter
