Bernie,
That was before the glitch with the indexing function... Here's the post again so that it will now be searchable again:

Proper way to bleed system:
1. release pressure on tank.
2. Open fill cap and fill to last bubble.
3. Install cap and pump to 35 psi.
4. On the square valve you will see two round cylinders sticking out with nuts on the end.
Back these nuts off. They will not come off, they are attached to the check valves. Once loose, they will turn by hand.5. Go to the cylinder at rudders and break one line loose to bleed air. When solid fluid, do other side.
Do not let the reserve run out of fluid or pressure, keep checking.6. When the reserve gets below the last bubble, drain pressure, refill and pressurize.
7. Go to helm and turn 20 times slowly in one direction again checking fluid level and pressure.
8. Then turn 20 times in the opposite direction.
With the check valves open you will have no solid stops.9. Check fluid and pressure and repeat last two steps.
10. Close nuts and try system making sure it has no air.
If it does repeat steps 7 and 8.11. Final fluid should be at middle of last bubble and at 35 psi.
Use steering fluid, not atf.
